Nintendo Wii

Nintendo's new gaming system pronounced "we" comes out November 19th. Just in time for the holidays. Like many of the other gaming systems out right now, the Wii allows players to play games together regardless of location. A couple of the innovative features of this system are the built-in Wi-Fi access and the wireless controller that is motion-sensitive. The controller is shaped like a television remote and is easily used by players of any age and ability. Through the use of bluetooth technology, the system senses the location of the controller in 3D space as you move it. Thus, games are played with full arm and hand motion instead of just pushing buttons with your thumbs. The controller also features sensory feedback in the form of sound and "rumble" motion. Up to four controlllers may be used at the same time.

Specs of the system include:
512 MB internal flash memory
2 USB 2.0 ports
a slot for SD memory expansion
"Broadway" processing chip from IBM
"Hollywood" graphics chipset from ATI
single self-loading media bay
compatible with Nintendo GameCube discs (older NES games will be available for download for $5-$10 each)

Each new system will come with a set of games called "Wii Sports." Nintendo plans to have 30 games released by the end of the year. The games set to be out by launch include:

The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess
Excite Truck
Trauma Center: Second Opinion
Madden NFL 07
Need for Speed: Carbon
Elebits
Super Monkey Ball Banana Blitz
Metal Slug Anthology
Rayman: Raving Rabids
Red Steel

Each games costs around $50 and the system costs around $325. Read more reviews and compare pricing here.
